Welcome back!
It’s a wild time we’re living in when the Jets’ offense is getting all the buzz. The thought of Gang Green having a high-powered offense still feels bizarre, but you better believe I’m going to take this opportunity to plug Coop’s rankings on our Patreon, where (Spoiler) he got controversial in the rookie rankings and had Zach Wilson really high from the jump. Truth be told, I wasn’t sure about it in the beginning, but now it’s looking pretty sharp.
Now let’s get to the headlines!
Analysis & Hype:
The Elijah Moore hype is reaching face-melting temperatures:
• "This isn’t written lightly: The Jets might have someone really, really special."
• “Jets have been waiting two decades for WR prospect like Elijah Moore”
• “Rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore was the most impressive player — offense or defense, any age — whenever he was on the field.”
• “Elijah Moore does this every day. As promising as I’ve seen a rookie wideout”
• “I’ve seen enough early reports + the college tape… I’m ready to go from 0 to 100 and leap to hall of fame comparisons. Elijah Moore is going to be Antonio Brown. Let’s ride.”
• Might be a good time for a reminder of what A.J. Brown said to Elijah Moore: "I couldn't do none of the shit you do. I never told you this but you way better than me bro. The shit you do I'm still trying to do. The sky's not the limit for you, you can go as far as you want. You're special. You going to be the best. I believe that."
Jets HC on Zach Wilson: “He’s unflappable in the sense that he doesn’t care whether [it] went good or bad. He wants to know why it went good or bad. He wants to learn from it. He’s wired exactly the way you want all players to be wired.”

PSA: Joe Burrow was on pace for a league-leading 658 attempts last year. As a rookie. Without Ja'Marr Chase.
Bengals OC notes that WR Tee Higgins has gotten "markedly more explosive." “He now knows what to take to get to the next level of his game.”
Merrill Reese on DeVonta Smith: “In 50 years, I’ve seen a lot of wide receivers and I’ve seen great ones like Harold Carmichal, who’s going into the Hall of Fame, and my partner in the booth, Mike Quick, who went to five Pro Bowls. So I’ve seen great receivers,” Reese said. “But I’ve never seen a receiver that makes my jaw drop the way that he does.”

"it's easy to see" how Cheifsrookie TE Noah Gray "could get a significant amount of playing time" in 2021.
Rookie Rams TE Jacob Harris has become a "special project" for tight end coach Wes Phillips and head coach Sean McVay.
On J.K. Dobbins: “Ravens coaches have been vocal about their desire to get the running backs more involved in the passing game, and Dobbins has shown this offseason that he’s capable of contributing … he’s giving the coaching staff plenty of reasons to keep him on the field more.”
Mina Kimes lays out why she thinks Noah Fant is the most likely TE to join Kelce, Kittle, and Waller in that top tier.

Sammy Watkins "was the Ravens' best receiver at minicamp." He made several contested grabs and delivered the best catch of the offseason, getting separation from Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey along the sideline for a long touchdown reception. This represented a big first step between Watkins and Lamar Jackson in terms of chemistry. "I'm not going to lie to you; it is fun," Jackson said of Watkins. "A big receiver, nice target, fast guy. Sammy is going to make our job a lot easier."

“[Jameis] Winston's not getting much love because of the bad taste left in everyone's mouth from his final year in Tampa. However, it's hard to not picture him as the starter going into the new season”
“What bodes well for [Adam] Trautman is a sampling from Winston's 2019 season. In that final year with the Bucs, Winston targeted Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard a combined 88 times. The 70 receptions between the two accounted for 18 percent of Winston's completions (380)”
“Player props might be one of the most underrated, unknown ways to view a players projected outcome. Vegas doesn’t like to lose y’all.”
This clip makes me want to move Jets rookie RB Michael Carter up my board.
Deep (Mostly Dynasty) Sleepers:
The Bills took 6’4 210 WR Isaiah Hodgins late in last years’ NFL draft, but he spent his rookie year on IR. He’s healthy now and getting some buzz including praise from Josh Allen and Bills head coach.

Last year, Cam Akers only saw more than 66% of his team’s snaps in 1 game.
