It’s the final countdown (da-na-na-nuh). The fantasy playoffs are fast approaching - like, next week approaching (unless your league starts in Week 14 [which it shouldn’t… six teams are on bye]). Maybe you’re well-positioned for a deep run and playing for a bye, maybe you’re on the bubble and trying to play your way in, or maybe you’re just playing out of spite to ruin someone else’s hopes at this point. Wherever you’re at, we’ve got the news you need to know about who’s hot and who’s not - and a ton of fun stuff from around the NFL, of course. Best of luck on this final leg of your regular season journey - it’s been a pleasure riding alongside you, and we hope to see you next week for the first 2024 playoff edition of the newsletter!

Waiver Weapons - Week Fourteen:
Each week, Camaron and Chris highlight a player who is available in fewer than 33% of fantasy leagues, and who they believe you can start for the upcoming week (excluding kickers and defenses). Last week was rough for the waiver weapons. Trevor Lawrence exited the game early from a late hit and Braelon Allen only had seven oppurtunities against the Seahawks. With this being the final week before most six team playoffs begin, the stakes have never been higher to pick the right waiver weapons, let’s jump in.
Camaron’s Pick: Grant Calcaterra, TE, PHI (2% rostered on Sleeper) - This is the last week of the season before the fantasy playoffs which means that just any regular waiver weapon isn’t going to cut it. Grant Calcaterra is the backup Eagles Tight End with only two games this season with over 3 targets. That being said, both of those games were when Dallas Goedert was out. If Goedert is out this week with a knee injury, Calcaterra should look to fill his spot on the roster and get some of you a shot in the playoffs. If Goedert does play, look to Juwan Johnson as a fill in. The matchup is awful, but the Saints Tight Ends have had a massive target share increase since Dennis Allen was fired.
Chris’ Pick: Elijah Moore, WR, CLE (33% rostered on Sleeper) - Lost in the shuffle of the Browns and Broncos’ shootout on Monday night, between the Jerry Jeudy blow-up game and Jameis’ prayers for deliverance from pick-sixes, was another top-15 performance on the week. Moore posted almost 20 PPR points against a stingy Broncos defense (whose ranking against WRs now betrays their previous strong performances because of the outlier game last week), and did so without catching a touchdown + while only catching eight of 14 targets. With Cedric Tillman still nursing a concussion, Moore (who is questionable himself but was a limited participant at Wednesday’s walkthrough) might get another opportunity this week to play a role in the Jameis Winston Air Show. Just make sure you temper expectations against Pittsburgh - then again, they did just give up a ton of yards and fantasy points to the Bengals…
