• Jerry Rice’s unquestioned dominance in the 40+ year old receiver conversation (s/o to Tom Brady, and sorry Brett Favre)
• Jim Harbaugh’s surprising rushing greatness
Welcome Back Breece Hall
One could say the Giants defensive coordinator hasn’t gotten a Wink of sleep
Quick thinking on special teams
Our whole goal this entire off-season was statistical output through five games. -Mike McDaniel.
The Chicago Bears currently own picks 1, 2, and 39 in the NFL Draft if the season ended today.
Travis Etienne played against himself in fantasy this week.
Brock Purdy reveals that he still has a roommate that he splits rent with.
Things that didn’t exist the last time the Broncos won a game against the Chiefs: Disney+, Fortnite, GOT Season 6, “Hello” by Adele, iPhone 7 / AirPods, Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, Stranger Things, TikTok, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, White Claw Hard Seltzer.
Waiver Weapons - Week Six:
We had a big hit last week; targeting the passing offense that’s playing against the Bears has been pretty successful so far. Camaron’s pick of Sam Howell ended up being the QB5 on the week, while Logan Thomas (TE4) and Curtis Samuel (WR14) were also big hits. Hopefully you ignored Chris though, who continues to jinx players far and wide; if there’s anyone you need a hex put on, be sure to reach out.
Camaron’s pick: Desmond Ridder, QB, ATL (14% rostered on Sleeper) - Welcome back Anthony Richardson support group members. We’re back with part 2 of “oh god, Richardson’s out, who the hell is on waivers.” Well do not worry because Desmond Ridder is back again to give us some help. As you saw from the first link, Desmond Ridder at home is a completely different player than at away games, and this week he gets the third best fantasy QB match up in the Commanders. Ridder showed a lot of confidence last week, and hopefully he can repeat that performance this week.
Chris’ pick: D’Onta Foreman, RB, CHI (30% rostered on Sleeper) - Khalil Herbert is injured, Travis Homer is injured, and Roschon Johnson is in the concussion protocol - so Foreman may be the last man standing in Chicago’s backfield come kickoff this Sunday. Minnesota’s run defense is stout, but it’s hard to argue with that kind of volume, especially if you’re scrounging for a startable RB amidst the injury chaos at the position. Now that I wrote about him something will inevitably go awry, but at least know that I’m going down with you on that ship in the event it does - signed, a guy who tried Zero RB for the first time this year and really doesn’t like it.
Will’s pick: Jonathan Mingo, WR, CAR (22% rostered on Sleeper) - The rookie WR has quietly been getting a high snap count so far this season (86% or higher, other than one game where he got injured.) His targets have also been promising. The lack of TDs have probably helped him fly under the radar despite the solid usage through the first 5 games in his career.
Love these so much man.
Honestly, look forward to these articles. Such amazing nuggets in there. Thank you!
